Through counseling, education, and support, SCS strives to connect families with needed skills and resources to live happier, healthier lives.
Life Transitions Supportive Counseling Services offers guidance throughout life's transitions including family changes, career changes and other areas of personal growth. Life is every changing and does not come with a road map. Many people attempt to work through their own challenges and learn the hard way. SCS strives to support you through any of these life transitions and ease stress and assist you to make thoughtful choices that are right for you.
Educational Advocacy Supportive Counseling Services understands the challenges and difficulties negativing education and special education laws. Having an advocate at the table can not only help you better understand procedures and your rights, but will help you hold the school accountable. Quality education is a right of each and every student. SCS can support you to ensure your child receives the very best education and support they deserve.
Supporting Other Professionals Supportive Counseling Services believes in supporting mental health professionals to become knowledgeable and efficient practitioners. Being a social worker, counselor, or therapist is hard. Supervision, networking and partnerships is essential to working with difficult situations and prevent burnout. SCS strives to create a network of professionals that are there to support each other and to assist you in becoming a successful practitioner.
Meet Our Therapists
About Amanda Be Amanda specializes in supporting children and families who struggle with behavioral. social, and emotional issues. Amanda has worked with children and adolescents throughout her career build more successful relationships and achieve better educational outcomes.
Amanda received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work from Wayne State University. Over the past 15 years, Amanda has primarily worked with children and adolescents in a variety of settings including K-12 schools, crisis shelters, and residential treatment facilities. Amanda has also worked to assist families in end of life planning for themselves and loved ones.
Amanda also earned her Master's of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. Amanda has assisted young professionals to create positive, focused career goals and transitions leading to long term financial success.
