Meet Our Therapists
Meet Amanda Be, LMSW, MBA- Owner & Therapist Parenting does not come with a training manual. When children struggle with big emotions, we can feel helpless and frustrated. I have worked with parents to deal with their child’s emotional and behavioral issues for over 15 years. Even with all that experience, my children push me past my breaking point sometimes. That is why I started Supportive Counseling Services- to help children and families through those frustrating times.
I have worked with countless families to overcome behavioral, social and emotional issues. Most of my experience has been as a school social worker working with children and adolescents build more successful relationships and achieve better educational outcomes. Big feelings leading to high anxiety or emotional outbursts don’t have to disrupt your entire household. Through supporting parents, children and teens with therapeutic interventions, your family can enjoy happier, healthier relationships in a calmer, more stable home environment.
Meet Melinda DeVore, LMSW- Therapist Being a teen today is hard but raising a teen is harder! As parents, we struggle to find the right words to say or how to help our struggling teens. I strive to discover the unique needs of teens and their families that are going through a difficult time, and identifying helpful solutions. I work closely with families to create and implement effective strategies that promote behavioral and emotional growth.
My passion to work with adolescents led me to earn my Masters in Social Work. I have used my skills to work with school aged children, with a focus in trauma, anxiety, grief and loss. I have worked in K-12 public schools and have extensive experience with special education, school interventions, and children diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder.
Therapy can help your teen sort through this turbulent time and grow into mentally strong, confident young adults.
