Supportive Counseling Services was that distant dream. It wasn't until I hit the point in my career that I felt confident enough in my skills to realize that I could achieve the goal of building my own practice. As a young social worker, I put heart, soul, and sweat into my clients. After starting my own family, I decided to slow down and re-organize my priorities. This gave me the time and energy to reevaluate my career and move forward with opening my own practice. My goal with this practice is to provide support to children and families. I have seen first hand how difficult it can be to deal with mental health issues and societal pressures. Today, children are faced with constant stress. This stress can lead to a multitude of issues including poor academic performance, health issues, emotional and behavioral difficulties, low self esteem, or poor social relationships. Any and all of these issues can affect the entire family. Many times parents are not equipped to deal with these issues on their own. I hope that through information, education, counseling, and other related services, I can help serve the greater Grosse Pointe community with alleviating some of these pressures and concerns. Please do not hesitate to call with questions or for more information. I know it is difficult to ask for help but if you or your child are having difficulty, please contact me. I will help you navigate the next steps to receive the help you and your family need and deserve. Wishing Support & Wellness, Amanda Be |
